Up in the skies we go!
The 30-hour route: SG-KL-Newark International Airport

Having to sit through a 30 hour long journey on an airplane can be quite an arduous journey! And coupled with in between transist periods which are almost 3 hours long, it can drive one really nuts!
Anyway my flight took off at around 3+pm in the afternoon. My best buds came to the airport to send me off! A couple of friends called too before I left.. And Daddy came to send me off too! Mummy & sister didn't turn up because they were scheduled to take a later flight in the evening! And partly because I was flying on Malaysian Airlines, which explained the 30 hour flight to New York; while Mummy & Ah-Chieh was on a less than 24 hour flight via SIA! *grumbles*
The KL flight was horrendous. Firstly the economy class seats were really claustrophic-ish. And at the KL International Airport, it was equally frightening for me as I tried to dial to Camp America. I was almost getting panic attacks, fearing that there will be some problems with regards to my payments, etc.
But, I was glad to have brought along my CD-player! It seriously, or rather the songs that played in the player really soothe my journey all the way to New York.
Dubai Stopover - That, was really a scary place for me to be in. Firstly, I was really, really in a foreign land, where there is nothing I can relate to at all! I know zilch about Dubai! Except knowing that it is an arab nation. But I encounter this strange phenomenon when I was wandering around at the shops in the transist area. They had this mini cold-storage supermart. And somehow, everyone was swarming to buy milk powder! Baby milk powder to be precise...
So, at around 9am after almost 1 full day being on the skies, I finally reached Newark! But not before being detained at the U.S customs! Nothing major, just being asked for the purpose of my visit. And there was this ground crew at the airport being real nice! But I've forgotten if he was the airport or airline crew. Irregardless, what happened was that I told him to let my mum & sister know that I've landed safely, as I knew they were suppose to be arriving soon after I did. When I got out of the customs checkpoint, they were waiting for me! Whopee!
Tada!
I AM IN AMERICA!
